Flying-type Pokemon are not considered grounded for effects that affect grounded Pokémon (e.g. entry hazards). If they lose their ungrounded status by methods like holding Iron Ball or being under the effect of moves Ingrain (Generation IV onward), Gravity, Smack Down or Thousand Arrows they also lose their immunity to Ground-type moves.
