The 2009 series refers to the previous Strawberry Shortcake continuity first introduced in 2009. This is also the fourth generation of the series. In late 2008, American Greetings rebooted the series with redesigned characters and changed personalities. Pupcake is a cute little Jack Russell Terrier that belongs to Strawberry Shortcake. A friendly little puppy that loves to play and gets along greatly with Custard.
